This hotel is value for money. People in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. All standards were much more than avarage. Shuttle bus to the airport was available in front of this hotel.
Its nice hotel near to all shops.
Excellent location, 3-5min walk from the city center. Friendly and helpful staff with good English. Comfortable room. Excellent buffet breakfast and offer to make your own lunch pack for a very reasonable price of 75 NOK - it can't be beaten by any offer from local food outlets! Free coffee, tea and waffle facility in the common room downstairs.
Noisy construction site opposite the room windows. Very strange, apparently broken or faulty shower-head and water from shower flowing far into bathroom due to lack of any containment. Very small fridge, impossible to put your own food and drinks in.
Centrally located good hotel
Lack of free parking facility increases substantially the price of stay
Not at all comfortable hotel
Price is more than it is worth. Room is small and no sea view at all. I wonder why in the website it says there is sea view, obviously, it is false information. We book two nights but for the change of schedule, we have to stay only one night but they charged us more than double the price for one night which is ridiculous!!! Robbing money style. I'll never recommend to any other friends.
This hotel presented a calm, spacious, clean and nicely designed room where I could well prepare my work during the stay in the city, profiting from the reliable high-speed wifi. Its location is perfect, calm streets but everything in easy walking distance, including a stop of the airport bus. The service was completed by several other positive details, most notably a friendly 24h reception, and a delicious Norwegian breakfast. Before booking I noticed that this hotel was only ~20% more expensive than hotels with frequent reports about noisy ground floor bars, rare room service and run-down installations. I thank the Booked.net users who wrote these clear comments. The Augustin hotel is the opposite, and the stay was worth its money.
Unfortunately it is already sold out for the time of my next planned trip to Bergen!
Very convenient location - near city centre but quiet. Charming, artistic decor, friendly staff, very comfortable rooms, excellent buffet breakfast included. The wine cellar/ restaurant has delicious meals and great character - a "find". More personal than a chain hotel. We would certainly stay there again!
The rooms don't have much "view" - but it is a three-minute walk to the harbour and fish market, which are the most scenic part of Bergen.
Interesting building, arty. We asked for a view, and we got one! Lovely corner room, both large windows with waterfront views. Good facilities, especially free use of washing machine and dryer, and large, comfy lounge with tea and coffee round the clock and waffles in the afternoon (a Norwegian habit!). 2 computers for guest use in reception area. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast, but we didn't like the food in the restaurant.
Almuerzo muy completo y situado en un lugar tranquilo. Próximo a los lugares de interés.
Location was great. Afternoon waffles were wonderful. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. The lounge was a nice place to meet people and have coffee and tea. Excellent value (for Norway).
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel room was clean and comfy. Did not have breakfast but everything else perfect
Great location, friendly helpful staff and very relaxing atmosphere. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Overall provided good value for money with nice restaurant serving nice food at reasonable prices. Breakfast had great selection every day with tea and coffee available in the lobby.
Proximity to harbour and many tourist activities
The restaurant is small - after a long day out and having already been drenched by the rain pelting down, we returned to the hotel to dry out and decided to eat-in. Unfortunately we couldn't because the restaurant was fully booked.
Very central Hotel, walkable to the tourist attractions.Staff were all very helpful and friendly.I Stayed for the weekend and my room was tended to each day and was spotless.
As the hotel is very near the old fish market and docks there are some prostitutes in the streets near the hotel late at night. Also, the nearby streets get busy late at night at weekends due to young people coming out of bars and clubs...but being Norway and Bergen, the prostitutes and drunks are all very respectful compared to other nations in the world.
It is in an excellent location. Quiet street but an easy walk to everything. Nice lounge with coffee and tea.
Only one person at the desk and it was very busy. Had to wait quite a while to be served, but the staff were very nice and helpful
